Pode uma empresa ser dirigida por uma pessoa que não percebe de informática?

A afirmação é de José Triblet e está perfeitamente alinhada com o pensamento do Engº.

É aliás muito simples de demonstrar: como é que alguém que não percebe nada de informática pode fazer a análise de envolvente estratégica e a de envolvente operacial? Como pode tal pessoa analisar / contextualizar o impacto que as TIC têm nos seus clientes e fornecedores? Prever o uso que os concorrentes vão fazer das TIC? Detectar a emergência de novos produtos e produtos substitutos viabilizados pelas TIC?

E não estou a falar de um “gerente” que sabe, ou não sabe, usar o Word, ou o Excell! É da “gerência” que se pretende “de visão”.

Ao que eu respondo: Pode dirigir uns “botecos analógicos” mas a clientela vai-se reduzindo… reduzindo… e quando os clientes “analógicos” de acabarem… o negócio está terminado.

O que me faz tremer à noite é que estas afirmações aplicam-se também a bibliotecas!

Aproveitando a última deixa, terão de facto as bibliotecas tradicionais os dias contados?

E se a biblioteca tradicional fizer um uso activo das ferramentas WEB 2.0?
Poderá ela manter a “clientela” no espaço físico e na WEB em simultâneo? Ou acabará por desabar o espaço físico em detrimento da “WebBiblioteca”?

Poderemos prever o que irá acontecer? ou teremos mesmo de esperar para ver?

Eu não me atrevo a dizer o que acontecerá, mas espero lá estar para assistir ao espectáculo!

Tiveram as bibliotecas monásticas os dias contados? Sim! Tiveram as bibliotecas do século 19 os dias contados? Sim! Uma infindável fila de paradigmas de biblioteca, dos últimos 2500 anos) já se extinguiram! Aquele em que vivemos agora também passará.

A biblioteca do futuro fará uso das ferramentas web 2.0.

A biblioteca do futuro terá que manter as clientelas tanto electrónicas como físicas satisfeitas e terá de o fazer em simultâneo, sim.

“Poderemos prever o que irá acontecer? ou teremos mesmo de esperar para ver?”

Podemos construir o que virá a seguir! Quem ficar à espera para ver o que virá será esmagado! Para além de estar completamente atrasado em relação ao que vem a seguir. É o mesmo que as nações nativas norte americanas que ficaram à espera para ver o que o “homem-branco” ia ‘dar’!

Se não vais participar então realmente não te podes atrever a realizar prognósticos: A História é feita pelos que, e é escrita sobre, os que agem, não os que ficam a ver!

No fundo, o que queria dizer era apenas que a melhor maneira de prever o futuro é participar activamente na sua construção.

Sim, sem dúvida que temos de participar, e ter uma participação activa na construção do futuro.

E de facto tem toda a razão quando diz “que a melhor maneira de prever o futuro é participar activamente na sua construção”, e assim sendo, se depender de todos aqueles que trabalham diariamente para melhorar e adaptar os seus serviços para os utilizadores, podemos dizer que a biblioteca do futuro passará inevitavelmente pela Biblioteca WEB 2.0 e Biblioteca enquanto espaço físico em simultâneo.

E este é um desafio que todos os profissionais devem sentir e assumir como primordial, para o futuro dos seus serviços de informação.

Afinal de contas, temos de ir ao encontro das necessidades dos utilizadores e da sociedade, e melhorar dia-a-dia.
